The 2026 Farmer’s Market Season is Here!

Home / Recipes, Uncategorized The 2026 Farmer’s Market Season is Here!

Yesterday, May 2nd, was the first day at the Merriam Kansas farmer’s market.  This was our first year at the market so we were not sure what to expect.

The day started off pretty cold with a temp of 40 degrees when I left the house at 6:15. Set up for the market went smoothly as I had already been thru dry runs of prep and setup several days earlier (Thanks to the promptings of my wife!) and had plenty of time before the opening time.

For the first couple of weeks our offerings will be our bedding plants (tomatos, peppers, herbs, etc) our Honey. I consider the sales of both successful for the first week and only expect them to get better as the weather continues to warm and the crowds increase.
